🧠 Smart Strategies That Work
These simple habits can easily increase your score:
✔ Read the questions first
Before the audio starts, quickly read:
- What is being asked
- What type of information you need
Your brain will be ready to catch it.
✔ Focus on Keywords, Not Every Word
Listen for numbers, days, locations and verbs like:
- kaufen – to buy
- fahren – to go by transport
- treffen – to meet
- verschieben – to reschedule
- absagen – to cancel
You don’t need perfect grammar recognition.
✔ Ignore Unknown Words
If you don't know a word, skip it.
Focus on words you DO understand.
German speakers often repeat important ideas using simple language.
✔ Listen for Time & Number Patterns
Common A2 phrases:
am Montagum 18 Uhrin zwei Wochen25 Euronächste Wochemorgen / übermorgen
These always connect to answers.
⚠️ Common Traps Students Fall Into
